Fiction authors with web pages--What do you find important to put on your site...?

...besides the usual. I%26#039;m building a web page to host my works and was just wondering if anyone has any tips on what makes a great authors%26#039; page. Provide links to your site if you wish. I%26#039;d love to take a look.

Wondrous Worlds of Terry Brooks

Go to the official website for Terry Brooks, New York Times bestselling author of about 25 Del Rey Books. ...

Good Luck And Terry is the BEST having written Star Wars the Phantom Menace, HOOK, the Shannara Series, The Magic Kingdom for sale plus many more...

GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR SITE

Don%26#039;t overload your site with a ton of junk. Keep it clean, keep it simple and easy to navigate. I have links to my main site, which has links to my other sites, plus some friends%26#039; sites, and a counter.

That%26#039;s all I have. No ads, no rings, nothing upon which to clutter my site.

(You think some people can actually ANSWER your question properly without going on some advertising blitz for someone else--which doesn%26#039;t have any bearing on the topic at hand...? %26gt;shakes head%26lt;)
